Providing our students with experienced faculty, current theory and curriculum, and state-of-the-art technology has been our philosophy since 1984 when Kay Moody founded cenforce 150.  As leaders in the field of preparing students as court reporters, stenographers, broadcast captioners, and communication access realtime translation (CART) reporters, we’ve made a substantial investment of capital and time to perfect the delivery of court reporting education. This blended learning environment was created to bring students and their teachers together as never before.

Imagine an online learning environment and speedbuilding software program that allows aspiring court reporters access to quality dictation resources with instantaneous evaluations.  Imagine a learning management system developed with students and faculty in mind; a system that delivers all the tools students need to develop their skills; a system that provides comprehensive assessment of speed and skill development while allowing faculty more interactive one-on-one time with students.

As you embark on your journey to becoming proficient court reporters, we know you will start to hear much chatter about what theory to learn.  While we won't debate that one theory is better than another, we do feel it is important to have a clear understanding of the fundamental principles of machine shorthand language or steno theory. So, we would love to share our thoughts on the topic!  The EV360 Realtime Theory is based on the principles developed by Ward Stone Ireland in the late 1800s and the machine shorthand principles of the ‘70s and ‘80s, when students could complete their court reporting education in two years or less.  A steno theory's basic principles must be logical to the learner, easy to understand, and not require massive amounts of memorization.

Introductory course in conflict-free, realtime stenographic machine shorthand writing. Students will learn chapters 1 through 96 of Mark Kislingbury's Magnum Steno theory book. Students will learn brief forms for writing thousands of the most common words and phrases and a phonetic-based system for writing all words. They will learn all keys on the stenographic machine, proper writing posture and form, readback and transcription of notes, and dictionary building.
