A medical transcription student will complete the courses listed below. Graduates are educated for this flexible yet demanding medical field of assisting healthcare professionals. Students must take at least 12 credit hours per semester to qualify as a full-time medical transcription student. This complete course of study has been developed to meet the requirements of a medical transcription curriculum for entry-level transcription positions as recommended by the American Association for Medical Transcription.
