What is A Pell Grant?
A Federal Pell Grant, unlike a loan, does not have to be
repaid. Generally, Pell Grants are awarded only to
undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's
or professional degree. A professional degree is
usually earned after earning a bachelor's degree in a
field such as medicine, law, or dentistry....
How Do I Qualify for a
Pell Grant?
To determine if you're eligible financially, the U.S.
Department of Education uses a standard formula,
established by Congress, to evaluate the information you
report when you apply. The formula produces an EFC
number. Your Student Information Record, sometime
refered to as the ISIR or SAR, contains this number....
How much money can I get
from the Pell Grant Program?
Generally, Pell Grant eligibility changes from year to
year based on what the Congress appropriates for the
fiscal year budget. The Pell Grant fiscal year

30th of the following year and eligibility will depend
on program funding...

paid and how much your Pell Grant will be....
Can I receive a Federal
Pell Grant if I am enrolled less than half time?
Yes, if you're otherwise eligible. You won't receive as
much as if you were enrolled full time, but we will
disburse your Pell Grant funds in accordance with your
enrollment status and cannot refuse you an award simply
because you're enrolled less than half time....

Loans?
Federal Stafford Loans are a major form of self-help aid
for students. If you attend the College of Court
Reporting, your Federal Stafford Loans will be through

College of Court Reporting as two semesters or eight
months....
How will I receive my
Stafford Loan money?

Reporting electronically via electronic funds transfer or
